St. Louis Post-Dispatch- Harry Levin Review of The Matheny Manifesto

Mike Matheny ended his 13-year career as a big-league catcher in 2006. Two years later, friends in Chesterfield asked him to coach a youth baseball team. After a lot of thinking, he agreed to coach — but only on his terms.
He spelled out those terms in a five-page letter that came to be known as “The Matheny Manifesto”— also the title of the book in which he explains his thinking, as told to writer Jerry B. Jenkins.
